I had a friend in my school. I haven't talked to her like in months nor I saw / met her . But 4-5 days age i had a dream where we sent to the school carnival and then we went to our house or some open space and then I was just starting to express my feelings which I have been holding to myself and just moments later I opened a glass jar and started crying and she went floating in air and I said thank you and she died . I don't know what happened. I just knew she died and later the scene shift and when her parents called that she isn't home I said I don't know. Her death in my dream is haunting me
Dreams are often reflective of our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and situations that we may be processing in our waking life. Here is an interpretation of your dream:
School Carnival
- Symbolism: The school carnival represents a place of nostalgia, memories, and perhaps unresolved emotions related to your past, especially concerning friendships and notable experiences during school days.
- Interpretation: Going to the school carnival with your friend indicates a longing for simplicity, innocence, or the closeness you once shared with her. It symbolizes the pleasant memories and connection you had, potentially uncovering the nostalgia and the desire to revisit those happy times.
Opening Up and Emotional Release
- Symbolism: Expressing your feelings and opening the glass jar may represent a release of pent-up emotions or unresolved feelings you've held onto regarding this friend or your past experiences.
- Interpretation: You might be holding some emotions, grievances, or unexpressed sentiments related to your friendship that you're subconsciously trying to release. The act of crying suggests a need for emotional catharsis or healing.
Floating and Her Death
- Symbolism: Your friend floating in the air can symbolize transcendence, change, or the otherworldly. Death in dreams is often not literal but points to change or transformation.
- Interpretation: The act of her floating and subsequent death could signify the end of some aspect of your relationship or a part of your life associated with her. It points to the transition from one stage to another, perhaps indicating a fear of losing those cherished memories or connections. Saying "thank you" might suggest acknowledgment or appreciation for the role she played in your life, albeit unconsciously letting go of the need for her physical presence in your current life.
Responding to Her Parents
- Symbolism: Not knowing where she is when asked by her parents reflects feelings of disconnection or guilt about moving on.
- Interpretation: This could indicate uncertainties or unresolved issues regarding your own feelings of how the relationship ended. It might also reflect a sense of loss or a perceived responsibility in how the relationship evolved over time.
Overall Interpretation
This dream may reflect your inner conflict or guilt about drifting apart from her or transitioning from that period in your life. It is about processing change, acknowledging past emotions, and confronting your feelings about growth and moving forward.
Recommendations
- Reflection: Take some time to reflect on what your friendship with her meant to you and consider if there are any unresolved emotions that you need to address.
- Reach Out: If it feels right, you might consider reconnecting with her, if only to check in. Sometimes reaching out can help resolve inner conflicts.
- Acceptance: Dreams about death often signify transformation rather than literal endings. Embrace the changes in your life and accept that some friendships or phases can evolve or end naturally.
Listening to what your subconscious brings to light can be a stepping stone toward healing or gaining insight into your personal growth journey.
